Life in a Three-Ring Circus
Dort “Dee” Foley is a 14 year old who survives her life by hiding in her bedroom when she’s home and eating “Easy Baked Brownies.” The usual unpleasantness of her family life is interrupted by her grandmother’s death, discovery of her mother’s pregnancy and the threat of two weeks of summer camp while her mother and stepfather go running off to Mexico. It is too much for her so she asks to live with her father, who has just gotten out of two years in prison. This is intended for teens struggling with many of the controversial topics they are facing every day including dating and sexual anxieties and identity confusion, drug use issues, a parent in prison, poverty, abortion, death of a family member and much more.
The Sherri Forest Mystery
Jan Whiting and her best friends Ginny Davis and Fred Smith, are amateur paranormal investigators. They have investigated sites all over New Hampshire. Their next investigation is at the Sherri Forest, home of former Broadway costume designer Madame Antoinette Sherri. The site had many reports of being haunted and they decided it was time they checked it out. There are rumors there's a treasure hidden somewhere on the site. While they're investigating they bump into someone who is looking to find the treasure and they're in the person's way. How far will they go to protect the property and possible treasure from their discovery? This is going to have some tame adult content so should be okay for teens and older.
George Hanson is a gay transgender man who also happens to be a superhero. Well, sort of. His super power is to see the things most people miss making the clues transparent to him, thus the name Trans Man. He's living with his boyfriend Hank, at least for now. Life is crazy and things are not going well. George realizes it is time to make a change and gives up the cape and costume for a day job using his super powers. When something happens, his real super powers are forced to the surface, much like Deadpool, and he, along with the rest of the world, finds out his true super powers. This is a book for the 18+ crowd due to the adult content. You can read the first drafts of each chapter on the official Trans Man website at transmanthenovel.weebly.com.
